Over the last 15 years, and especially during 2019 – 2024, data from a series of experiments at the University of Arizona have definitively demonstrated scientifically that life continues after physical death. This research was conducted by Gary E. Schwartz PhD, former professor at Harvard and Yale, and pioneer in the fields of behavioral medicine and energy healing.
Dr. Schwartz is assisted in this work by a team of electrical engineers, software developers, research assistants, evidential mediums, and postmaterial luminaries at the Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health. The Demo SoulSwitch is a binary (Yes / No) SoulSwitch device that postmaterial persons (the so-called ‘deceased’) can use to answer questions, verify their identity, and begin providing information to help many people and our planet. This device should be ready for beta testing by the summer of 2024. After sessions with project volunteers and larger donors, we will share data that scientifically demonstrates life continues after bodily death. However, this ‘reveal’ will initially occur as an ‘incremental trickle’ versus a ‘sudden splash’. Over time and under optimal conditions, we will gradually amplify how widely this news is shared.
Likewise, demonstrations of this technology will occur in a stepwise fashion. We anticipate, but cannot guarantee, that full announcements and demonstrations will occur by spring 2025. These decisions were made in April 2024 after many strategic planning discussions with core project team members. The many factors involved are much more complex than you might imagine.

This collective evidence also shows – with very high degrees of certainty – The Great News that you and everyone else:
- continue to live after your earthly body dies.
- can interact with ‘departed’ loved ones now and after you pass on.
- are integral, infinite, eternal, and beloved parts of Source Energy now and always.
- receive guidance and support from angels, guides, master teachers, etc.
- are sacredly interconnected with all people, animals, and nature.
- have special purposes for having this earthly experience now.
- may manifest in other simultaneous time / space realities now and after bodily death.
- have everything you need to enjoy an optimal earthly experience – no matter what your past or current circumstances.
- can find meaning, as well as opportunities for growth and service, amidst your toughest changes and challenges.
- co-create how heavenly your life feels – whether living on earth or elsewhere – by your predominant thoughts, words and actions.
- can likely use SoulPhone technology in the future to communicate with postmaterial loved ones and access wisdom from luminaries who can help us heal our world.
Statements #1, 2, and 11 are based on definitive scientific research. The other statements are based on: (a) clinical research: near-death experiences, past life memories and regressions, perinatal experiences, life between lives sessions, shared crossings, terminal lucidity cases, and deathbed visions; and (b) evidencefrom firsthand experiences: after-death communications, out-of-body experiences, spiritually transformative experiences, electronic voice projection / instrumental transcommunication, and other ways of knowing.
This is, obviously, a new and exciting era for humanity. When understood and internalized – even just a bit – The Great News can help you make the shift:
- FROM thinking, believing, and acting as if your time on earth is unfair, meaningless, cruel, and ends with cessation of consciousness or the possibility of endless suffering.
- TO thinking, believing, and acting as if this earthly experience is a totally meaningful, safe, and magnificent adventure amidst forever.
Conscious language can help you adopt a greater reality perspective and live based on the second bulleted worldview. And that, in turn, can help you create the greatest life YOU have envisioned, fulfill your purposes for being on earth, serve others, and enjoy a magnificent journey. In the pursuit of using more conscious / accurate terms, l:
- Will use the term ‘YOU’ to describe the totality of your energy / being. Your real self may manifest in different spacetime ways simultaneously since only approximately 50% of your consciousness is needed to have an earthly experience. The term ‘YOU’ recognizes both of these possibilities.
- Won’t use the terms ‘die, departed, deceased, or dead’ without single quotation marks since those have strongly entrenched and erroneous meanings indicating an end of life.
- Will use the terms ‘bodily death’ and ‘death of the earthly form’ to remind you that only the earth-suit dies. The rest – all the intelligence, love, personality, memories, preferences, sense of humor, and much more – continues living in other parts of the field of all possibilities.
- Will use the terms changed worlds, passed on, transitioned and others that aptly describe a continuation of consciousness after bodily death.
- Will primarily refer to those who have passed on as postmaterial persons. That term recognizes the points in #3. I also will use soul, consciousness, essence, and awareness.
- Will primarily refer to ‘physical humans living on earth’ as material persons. Why? Because those terms within single quotation marks may apply to postmaterial persons. That is, they can have physicality, visit earth, and are still human in meaningful ways.
- Will use the terms lower versus higher energies, emotions, and ways of being. These descriptors are not critical, judgmental, or subjective; rather, they are based on objective measures by, for example, David Hawkins PhD, MD author of Power Versus Force. He and other researchers found that higher-energy emotions of peace, joy, and love calibrate at 600, 540, and 500 respectively. Conversely, lower-energy emotions of anger, fear, and guilt calibrate at 150, 100, and 30. To be clear, energy / consciousness is who and what you really are, not just how you are feeling. Your predominant energies create the quality of your life and the nature of your earthly or other time-space experience.
- Will use single quotations marks with words such as ‘lose and fail’. The Great News and collective afterlife evidence can expand your worldview about what seem to be losses and failures. We can’t accurately judge the big picture of life – what is lost or how we failed – with our limited human senses.
Note: To recognize and respect different genders and sexual identifications, I will alternate using ‘he’ or ‘she’ and related pronouns. Depending on a person’s orientation, one, both, or neither of those may apply.

Holistic Breathing Technique
(Disclaimer: Consult with your psychotherapist before using this technique if you have an acute and significant mental imbalance. Decrease the rate and depth of your breathing if your hands start to cramp and/or you feel lightheaded. If you get uncomfortable while doing this technique, stop doing it or just breathe slowly and relax during the remainder of the audio program. Check with your medical doctor if you have cancer of the lymphatic system since prolonged deep breathing can aid lymphatic drainage and perhaps spread that type of cancer. However, the greatly increased oxygenation of your body may assist it in destroying mutated cells that do not thrive in the presence of oxygen. I am not a licensed psychotherapist or medical doctor; this technique is not designed to replace care by either professional.)
Introduction
I developed the Holistic Breathing Technique after using different forms of breathwork for over 40 years. Visit About Dr. Mark Pitstick to learn about my experience and training.
Various breathing practices have been used across time in different cultures to expand consciousness and assist healing. Pioneers of such techniques include Stan Grof MD, PhD, Jacquelyn Small MSW, and Tom Goode ND.

In the Aramaic language, ‘breath’ and ‘spirit’ had the same root word. In the Far East, the words chi, ki, and prana simultaneously conveyed meanings of breath, spirit, and life force. Breathing exercises are part of many orthodox and more esoteric religions and spiritual wisdom sources. Chanting, singing, exercise, love-making, and pranayama (yoga breathing exercises) are other ways to breathe deeply and rhythmically.
The Holistic Breathing Technique can benefit your body, mind, and spirit:
- Body: releases toxins when chronically tight muscles relax; deeply inflates the lungs; strengthens the diaphragm; increases oxygen levels; removes trapped carbon dioxide; alerts you to areas of your body that hold anxiety; increases awareness of tight muscles that need massaged; invites you to stretch muscles each day.
2. Mind: increases awareness about what is bothering you and what you can do about it; releases stuck emotions; allows a cathartic release via crying, laughing, and yelling; provides a creative time for jotting down insights and ideas; lets go of past lower-energy beliefs about yourself, others, and life on earth; assists grieving for all kinds of losses and suffering; helps you enjoy a more happy and peaceful life.
3. Spirit: assists a deep remembrance of who you are, why you’re here, and Who walks beside/within you always; deepens your faith and knowing about greater realities that explain life’s mysteries; reminds you that life and love are forever; helps you know that 99.99% of who you really are is a forever being who does not die and cannot be hurt.
While on living on earth, you have two sources of consciousness:
- Transcendent Source of Consciousness (TSC): also known as your soul, enduring self, essence, real self, and many other names
- Brain-Based Consciousness (BBC): this is the part of your awareness that is created by your brain and its supporting biochemistry
The quality of your earth-experience is determined by the degree to which your TSC and BBC are congruent. Life flows much more smoothly and wonderfully when your eternal consciousness and your human brain are on a similar wavelength and communicating. The Holistic Breathing Technique is a major key to making sure your TSC and BBC are on the same page.
If you’ve ever watched babies breathe, you know that their breathing pattern is usually uninterrupted belly breathing. You were the same way. At birth, your breathing was open, full, and connected. Unless you were distressed, life was experienced fully in the moment. You felt vibrantly alive and joyful. You innately knew the big picture of life and understood with every part of your being that you are a wise, infinite, special, and powerful being.
Some cultures recognize the importance of this life-stage and provide extended conscious care for the infant. However, for most of us, the density of this earth-plane quickly interrupted our knowing that it’s all good, it’s all God. We came into contact with negative energies or stressors that hampered a deeply internalized knowing about our true natures and lofty potentials. Examples of stressors include excessively bright lights, loud noises, poor quality food, unnecessary prescription drugs and medical interventions, cigarette smoke, illness, and mental, physical, and/or sexual abuse.
Over time, you learned that halting your breath could help block negative feelings from flowing through your body. Holding your breath or breathing shallowly limited your awareness of pain, fear, and suboptimal environmental factors. This may have helped temporarily, but it was a limiting strategy in the long run. Why? Because it shut off your body’s circuit breakers and thus decreased available energy and awareness.
Over time, emotional trauma were likely stored in your muscles and caused trigger points or chronic tightness. Toxins from cigarette smoke, prescription drugs, junk food, heavy metals, and chemicals stored in your body. You probably internalized judgment – whether real or perceived – from others, yourself, and limited images of Creator. You may have suffered ridicule, discrimination, and other forms of emotional abuse. Physical injuries and stressors added to the mix. These negative impacts continued on year after year. The result is feeling closed down and not able to access your full energy and remembrance of who you are.
The good news is that the Holistic Breathing Technique can help release all of the above. It can begin restoring your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. It can help you regain a more heaven-on-earth level existence—no matter what’s going on within or around you right now. Regular use of this technique can restore your rightful state as a healthy, happy, enthusiastic, and enlightened human.
Technique Information and Tips
(The following tips are described in the Introduction track on the audio product.) Use noisy, open-mouth, and diaphragmatic breathing. Let yourself make a sound during inhalation and exhalation. Your abdominal muscles should be relaxed and bulge outward when you breathe in. This allows the diaphragm to lower so the lungs can fully inflate. When you exhale, the reverse should occur: your belly muscles pull in and up as the diaphragm raises and assists full release of air.
The most important thing to remember throughout this technique is to keep breathing! Whenever you realize you’re not breathing properly, simply resume it. Don’t get upset with yourself or wonder where your mind was. Don’t analyze anything you caught yourself thinking about.
The music will change periodically to keep your over-analytical brain and its brain-based consciousness off balance a bit. Why? So you can access your inner wisdom, your transcendent source of consciousness that preceded the birth of your body and survives bodily death. That innate intelligence knows what to do and how to get healthy and happy again.
During the session, I’ll yell out words of coaching and encouragement. But remember the bottom line: whatever is going on inside or around you . . . just keep breathing!
You may want to laugh, cry, move around, or yell out. Those are all ways to release old wounds, needless fears, and past limiting teachings. Use the technique in the privacy of your home so you can pound the mattress or pillow. You may feel called to deeply massage tense body parts. Let yourself do that! To heal fully, let it go without inhibition or embarrassment. Old feelings and memories may arise. Do not analyze or revisit these; just allow them to wash through.
During the technique, some people start prolonged toning or moaning. If this happens spontaneously, OK, but it’s really not part of the technique. Again, just resume the noisy, open-mouth, diaphragmatic breathing as soon as you’re aware you’re not doing it. (It’s similar to meditation and picking back up the mantra when you become aware that you’ve “zoned out.”)
You may experience tingling sensations as your life force circulates more strongly throughout your body. This is a pleasant and natural effect of the technique. As mentioned, your hands may cramp up a bit or you may feel lightheaded if you breathe too deeply and/or too fast. Just slow down the rate and depth of your breathing.
Set one or two positive intentions before each session. Then forget about them and let the breathing create what you most need. The intensity of your breathing directly affects the amount of health and happiness you gain, so keep breathing with noise and gusto as much as you can. When instructed to do so, slow down your rate and depth of breathing after about 25 minutes. Then breathe normally about 5 minutes after that.
I recommend using this technique twice per week until your tears, anger, and other painful emotions are better as evidenced by less crying, anger, and other volatile emotions. Then use the technique once per week for a while. Using the same guidelines—less sadness, crying, and anger—eventually reduce the frequency to twice a month. I recommend a monthly session for preventive and fine-tuning benefits.
Instead of crying, you’ll likely at some point find yourself laughing as you start to remember “the big picture of life.” You might recall that your soul likely volunteered to go through difficulties and suffering because of the potential for greater growth and service to others. You’ll better understand why the French philosopher Voltaire said: “God is like a comedian playing to an audience that is too afraid to laugh.” Your spiritual amnesia will gradually subside as you remember that you are one with the One and part of Source Energy right now and always.
Eventually, you’ll start experiencing enhanced creativity so be sure to have a pen and paper nearby. You can capture million dollar ideas for creating the greatest life you have envisioned—not in spite of, but because of past challenges.

Recommendations Before Using the Holistic Breathing Technique
– Be completely rested so you have enough energy to do the technique full out.
– Eat a light, healthy meal a few hours beforehand so you aren’t hungry or have low blood sugar. However, you don’t want your stomach to be too full.
– Avoid excess caffeine or sugar for 24 hours before the session. Avoid using alcohol and recreational drugs for at least three days beforehand.
– Practice diaphragmatic breathing before starting the technique.
– Get as relaxed as possible before the experience
– laying down on a bed, mat or thick carpet is best
– have a pillow and blanket if needed
– wear comfortable clothing that will not bind
– bring lip salve to prevent dry lips during the prolonged open-mouth breathing
– drink water and use the bathroom just before your session
– turn off any phones, pagers, or other potentially interrupting devices
– have Kleenex handy for wiping tears and blowing your nose
– set an intention for just what you need at this time to greatly improve your life.
Recommendations for After the Session
– Enjoy quiet time to internalize your insights and enjoy the inner peace.
– Be careful and really focus if you drive soon afterwards.
– Share your experience with trusted loved ones if you like.
– Keep a journal to note any additional benefits that arrive in dream or waking states.
