The evidence-based information and holistic resources outlined in these articles will help you to:

  • realize your true nature as an eternal being of consciousness / life-force / energy
  • receive guidance and assistance from highly evolved energies and Source / The Light
  • heal old wounds, release lower energies, and update erroneous teachings
  • create the greatest life YOU have envisioned (YOU = your higher self / soul)
  • help others by sharing your greatest gifts
  • make our world a better place

As enough people do this, widespread personal and planetary change will naturally unfold.

Is Your Life Unfolding Perfectly?

Some, perhaps many, people might consider this question to be ridiculous.  However, I encourage you to read on and think about it more deeply.  Obviously, it would be a life-changer if that were true AND you lived accordingly.

Believing that life can unfold perfectly requires seeing more of the big picture of life than most humans do.  In the short term and from a limited human perspective, many aspects of life certainly seem tragic, unfair, and chaotic.  In the long run and with expanded understandings, however, life can be seen as perfect or, at least, containing many blessings.

Near-death experiencers are embraced by the Light or, perhaps more accurately, remember that love and light is ultimately all that exists.  Many NDErs realize that life is designed so perfectly that it forever transforms them.  Likewise, after a ‘life between lives’ session, many clients report that life is unbelievably fair and sensible.

After years of interacting with postmaterial persons (‘the deceased’), some evidential mediums agree.  Their enhanced view of life shows them there is a perfection to life that is difficult to comprehend from a limited human perspective.

Likewise, channeled wisdom sources reassure us to trust that life ultimately has happy endings.  One such unseen teacher, Emmanuel, was channeled by Pat Rodegast who wrote Emmanuel’s Book.  The authenticity of this source was endorsed by Ram Dass / Richard Alpert PhD who worked with them extensively.  Emmanuel said: “This earth plane is neither the beginning nor the end of your existence.  It is simply a step, a schoolroom.  My friends, let me impress upon you how solidly you are planted in eternity, how brilliantly you can shine in your own physical world, how possible it all is, how beautifully the Plan is designed.”

Remember that the human brain is a notoriously poor detector of what is real since it perceives less than 1/1000 of one percent of reality.  That’s why it’s important to educate yourself about contemporary evidence and expand your senses to see beyond what your eyes report.  To learn more about how to do this, see articles #51 and 68 at SoulProof.com.

Again, from a limited earthly perspective, life appears to be cruel, random, and chaotic.  Any God – if there really is one – seems to be uncaring, too busy, and/or impotent.  However, an expanded view of life reveals this earthly experience to be meaningful, safe, and fair.  When seen with an expanded awareness, it is unfolding perfectly.

One way to realize the peace, joy, and love that you are and surrounds you now is to regularly help others.  Here’s a real life example.  Chrise is a lovely young lady who is always smiling, loving, and enthusiastic.  Over time, I noticed that she was almost always with her twin sister Katie.  Further, I saw that they would frequently carry on a brief conversation with each other, even when around other people.

One day, Chrisie came to me for a nutritional healing evaluation and said, “Please speak loudly and clearly right in front of me.  I forgot my hearing aids today and will have to lip read.”

I could relate since I suffer with hearing loss and must wear aids to hear.

Afterwards, I wondered if she really had hearing aids.  Maybe she needed some help to get them since they are very expensive.  That might explain, I thought, why she and her sister would often huddle up and talk among themselves.  Katie acted as Chrise’s ears and explained to her what was being said.  So both of their lives were being limited.

I called Julie, my wonderful audiologist, and asked if she might test Chrisie at a reduced fee.  I offered to donate my back-up hearing aids and get new ones.

Chrisie and my hearing aids were a good match.  She and her mom Iris called me after their audiology appointment.  They had been in the car for 45 minutes crying with joy.  Then it was my turn to have tears.  She could hear much better for the first time in a long while.  Her improved hearing will allow her to share her great gifts with the world and more fully interact in it.  Katie will have more independence since she won’t have to translate for her sister.

Afterwards, I realized what an exquisite lesson this is.  It’s a great example of why souls choose adversity and challenges.  I wouldn’t have been as aware of her need if I had normal hearing.  Without Chrise’s deafness, Julie and I wouldn’t have been able to be of service and feel the pure joy that comes with loving service to others.  Chrise wouldn’t have as much strength of spirit that she does now.

And I wouldn’t be able to tell this story.

We each, as souls, choose to experience many different slices of life – both good and bad, happy and sad – so we can better grow in love, wisdom, and compassion.  Those invaluable qualities can best be developed when we’ve “walked a mile in another person’s moccasins.”  Once we’ve internalize those attributes, they become a part of who we are.  It’s easily worth some transitory suffering and struggle.

My wish for myself and all people is that we can trust life more.  Much collective evidence clearly shows that we each are integral parts of Source Energy right now and always.  The more we really fathom this great news, the more we enjoy the many accompanying benefits.  No doubt about it, this earth-experience is a totally safe, meaningful, and magnificent adventure amidst eternity.

Remembering that helps us look for life’s blessings instead of falling into anger, discouragement, and other lower-energy emotions.  By all means, do everything you can to make life great for yourself and others.  But when tough changes and challenges arise—as they invariably will—listen to your soul, your inner being that remembers life’s big picture.   It will go on auto-pilot to search and find the blessings.  They are just around the corner.  Just ask Chrise.

The evening before I finished my book Radiant Wellness, I experienced a profound peace.  It felt as though I was finally starting to fulfill my highest missions after many years of praying, searching and working.  I had originally planned to become a medical doctor (M.D.) but a series of events guided me to become a doctor of chiropractic (D.C.) instead.  That evening, I deeply felt that things had worked out for the best.

Early the next morning, I started to complete the last few hours of work on the manuscript.  Just as I had done many times during the previous two years, I turned on the computer and monitor that usually showed a black screen followed by computer codes and prompts.  That morning, however, the monitor immediately showed a vivid display of royal gold and maroon squares.

These colored squares each contained the same two letters.

I rubbed my eyes and pinched myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. The letters were DC. This miracle still inspires me to look beyond outward appearances.

Here are some examples of how the lives of struggling and suffering people may be perfect when seen from a sufficiently wise vantage point:

  1. Parents of an addicted child may need to develop their patience and compassion.  Or perhaps they were addicts and wanted to experience firsthand how horrible that was for loved ones so they would never fall into addiction again.

  2. An addicted child may have volunteered to help more people awaken to the many injustices and imbalances in our world — many propagated by big business interests.

  3. A woman who is abused may use that to grow stronger and help others who were abused.

  4. The abuser may be a contrast soul who is helping the woman under #3

You get the idea.  To be clear, I am not justifying mistreatment of anyone.  However, when suffering occurs, it can be helpful to look past superficial appearances.

It also helps immensely to have dear family and friends who are on a spiritual path and see things more clearly than average.  They can remind you when you forget and your vision falters.  My partner Andrea and I live with the underlying assumption that life unfolds perfectly.  When it doesn’t seem that way, we set about finding the silver linings and blessings.  If one of us forgets to do this and gets discouraged, the other reminds them about the big picture of life.  To learn more about optimal relationships and how to develop more of them, see article #66.

Victor Frankl MD PhD was a Nazi concentration camp survivor, psychiatrist, and author of Man’s Search for Meaning.  He made a strong case that there is meaning behind all life’s events.  He taught that there is one freedom that no one can take away from you: the ability to choose our outlook no matter what is happening around you.  More recently, the wonderful book The Choice was written by his dear friend and student Edith Eva Edgar PhD.  Like Frankl, she survived a death camp while numerous family members and friends died.  After much struggling and searching, she learned and demonstrated that we always have the power to choose how we look at life.  Do we look at the horrible or the beautiful?

It can helpful to consider
a past experience that seemed horrible but later was clearly a blessing.  I use this technique in my workshops and webinars to help people get in touch with their myopia about how vast and wonderful life really is.  I recommend that you take a few minutes now to do this: think of one of the worst events in your life that happened years ago.  Feel what that was, or still is, like for you.  Now consider the good things that never would have occurred if the ‘bad’ event hadn’t happened.

Bernie Siegel MD and his grandson Charlie Siegel recently wrote a book of poetry and photos entitled When You Realize How Perfect Everything Is.  That title was inspired by this anonymous quote: “When you realize how perfect everything is, you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky.”  I believe this is what Jesus and other great teachers were trying to tell us, for example, in John 8:32 “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”.  Indeed, we are free when we see past earthly illusions of death, separateness, limitation, and fear.

While working with tens of thousands of people over the last 48 years, I’ve seen and heard many interesting stories.  I now believe there is a timing to when a person passes.  I’ve seen people who should have died, but didn’t.  Conversely, I’ve seen people pass on from the most unlikely or minor causes.

I am most impressed by real life examples of people who suffered severe injury, abuse, or paralysis.  Despite this, some of them say afterwards: ‘If I could go back and prevent this, I wouldn’t.  Why?  Because I wouldn’t have met the people I have.  I wouldn’t have learned all I did and grown so much.’  They can see the perfection of what, on the surface, appears very imperfect.

Doing your best, and communing with Great Spirit / Life Itself every day, increases the chances of seeing that perfection during this lifetime.  Others may have to wait until they change worlds to see that great news.  For example, consider a person who drinks excessively, takes drugs, and doesn’t care for himself.  Over time, the chances increase of becoming ill, having a catastrophic accident, and/or dying.  When the inevitable occurs, was that person’s life perfect?

My answer to that question is ‘How far back are you standing?  What is your observation point in the cosmos?’  That person may have needed to suffer to learn important lessons.  In the next phase of life, he may remember to care for the temple of the soul better.  If not, he can repeat the tough lessons again until he eventually gets it.

Or, he may actually be a more advanced soul who purposely took on a limited / imbalanced disguise so others can learn by contrast and learn to be healers.

Either way, it’s all perfect.

This reminds me of an old story.  One day, a guy (I use men in these examples because women are usually much more aware) was walking down the street.  Not paying attention, he fell into a big hole and injured himself.  A few days later, he walked down the same street.  Still living with a nearly complete lack of awareness, he fell into the hole again.  Three days later, he made a mental note to watch out for that hole.  However, despite his good intentions, he forgot and fell again.

Finally, after what seemed like a lifetime of suffering, he awakened to the importance of being more conscious.  The next time he walked down that street, he walked around the hole.  Much later, as his evolved nature began to color all aspects of his life, he brought materials and tools to fix the hole so others wouldn’t fall into it.

Beginner souls may choose to learn – or be forced into learning because of poor choices – via a series of hard knocks.  Their eventual improvement reinforces the notion that life – even the tough parts – is really perfect.  Advanced souls try to prevent suffering, assist healing when it occurs, and teach there is a better way.  They try to always know and show that this earthly experience is a totally safe, meaningful, lawful, and magnificently perfect adventure amidst forever.

I believe – based on much personal experience, professional insights, and clinical evidence – that there is a rhyme and reason for how events unfold in life.  Even when it doesn’t make sense to me now.

Whether or not you believe that is, of course, up to you.  I hope this article gives you a different perspective when struggles and suffering occur as they periodically do.
